Power-X is a professional adhesive and sealant designed for construction, fabrication and industrial jobs where you need dependable bonding, sealing and long-term durability.
Its one-component, high-modulus hybrid formulation cures with humidity to create a strong, elastic bond across a wide range of common building materials. Suitable for interior and exterior use, Power-X is a practical choice for panels, skirting boards, windowsills, roofing, coachwork, metal joints, shipbuilding and general-purpose installations.
Why choose Power-X?
- Strong multi-surface adhesion for a wide range of construction and industrial applications
- Instant grab properties to help position and bond lightweight materials
- Indoor and outdoor use with high resistance to ageing and weathering
- Permanent elasticity to accommodate movement in suitable applications
- Paintable once cured with water-based paints
- Isocyanate- and silicone-free formulation
- Almost odourless curing and low emissions
- Adheres without primer to most suitable surfaces, including some damp surfaces
What is Power-X used for?
Power-X combines the functions of a construction adhesive and sealant, making it suitable for a broad range of professional and general-purpose jobs.
Typical applications include:
- Bonding panels and skirting boards
- Installing windowsills
- Roofing applications
- Coachwork and vehicle body applications
- Metal joints and connections
- Shipbuilding and marine construction applications where continuous water exposure is not involved
- Timber bonding
- General construction, maintenance and DIY installations
Built for lasting indoor and outdoor bonds
Power-X is formulated to provide durable adhesion while retaining elastic properties after curing. Its weather and ageing resistance makes it useful for suitable exterior applications as well as everyday indoor construction work.
The cured adhesive has a stated temperature resistance of -40°C to +90°C, helping it perform across a wide range of service conditions.
Paintable for a cleaner finish
Once fully cured, Power-X can be painted with water-based paints, making it useful for visible installations where the finished bond or seal needs to blend into surrounding surfaces.
If using solvent-based paint, test compatibility first before completing the full application.
How to apply Power-X
- Make sure the substrate is solid, clean and free from grease and dust.
- Clean the surface with an appropriate cleaner where required.
- Apply Power-X in vertical stripes spaced approximately 10–20 cm apart.
- Position the materials and press them together so the adhesive stripes remain approximately 2–3 mm thick between the material and substrate.
- Do not apply Power-X in dots.
- Use temporary support or clamping where the application requires it.
- Always test adhesion before proceeding with the full installation.
No primer is generally required on most suitable substrates. Porous substrates should be pre-treated with an appropriate primer.
