Ritetack Xtra is an ultra-high-tack construction adhesive with 20% stronger initial tack than standard Ritetack, giving you extra grab from the moment materials are positioned.

Designed for demanding professional installations, Ritetack Xtra is built for jobs where stronger initial hold can help reduce movement, bracing and temporary fixings. It is particularly suited to signage, panels, natural stone, HPL, cement fibre and other challenging construction applications.

Its non-staining hybrid formulation cures to form a strong, durable and elastic bond while remaining free from isocyanates, phthalates, solvents and silicones.

20% stronger initial tack than Ritetack

Ritetack Xtra takes the instant-grab performance of standard Ritetack and increases the initial tack by 20%. That extra initial hold is designed for more demanding jobs where keeping panels, sheets and other materials firmly positioned from the start matters.

The result is greater confidence during installation and less reliance on temporary supports when the adhesive is applied correctly.

  • 20% stronger initial tack than standard Ritetack
  • Extreme initial grab for demanding installations
  • Usually no temporary support required during curing when correctly applied
  • High mechanical resistance for professional applications
  • Durably elastic after curing
  • Non-staining formulation
  • No shrinkage and bubble-free curing
  • Non-corrosive to metals
  • Good resistance to weather and moisture
  • Almost odourless neutral cure
  • Isocyanate-, phthalate-, solvent- and silicone-free

When should you choose Ritetack Xtra?

Choose Ritetack Xtra when the job calls for more initial grab than standard Ritetack. It is designed for installations where the material, size or application makes a stronger immediate hold particularly useful.

Typical applications include:

  • Signage panels
  • Construction panels
  • ACM and panel installations
  • Natural stone
  • HPL panels
  • Cement fibre panels
  • Interior fit-outs
  • Exterior panel installations
  • Building and construction bonding
  • Signage and print installations
  • Applications where higher initial tack helps keep materials in position

Extra grab for panels and demanding materials

Large panels and demanding substrates can make initial positioning one of the hardest parts of an installation. Ritetack Xtra's 20% increase in initial tack gives the adhesive greater holding power at the beginning of the bond, helping materials stay where they are placed while curing progresses.

When correctly applied, support during curing is usually unnecessary because of its high initial strength.

Built for natural stone and porous materials

Ritetack Xtra is particularly suited to building materials with porous structures, including natural stone. Its non-staining formulation makes it a practical option where both bonding performance and the finished appearance matter.

It is also suitable for applications involving HPL, cement fibre panels and a wide range of other compatible building materials.

Ritetack Xtra adheres without primer to most suitable surfaces, including some damp substrates. Porous surfaces may require an appropriate primer depending on the application.

Always perform an adhesion test before full application.

Strong after the initial grab

Ritetack Xtra is not only designed to grab quickly. Once cured, its hybrid formulation provides a strong and durable elastic bond for suitable professional construction applications.

It has a stated tensile strength of 2.20 N/mm² and an elongation at break of 400%, providing a combination of strength and elasticity after cure.

The cured adhesive is temperature resistant from -40°C to +90°C and provides good resistance to weather and moisture.

Indoor and outdoor performance

Ritetack Xtra can be used across a range of suitable interior and exterior construction applications. Its weather and moisture resistance makes it particularly useful for jobs exposed to changing conditions.

It is not suitable for continuous exposure to water or applications involving chlorides, including swimming pool environments.

How to apply Ritetack Xtra

  1. Ensure the environment and substrate are within the application temperature range of +5°C to +40°C.
  2. For optimal results, make sure surfaces are clean, solid and dry.
  3. Apply Ritetack Xtra using the supplied V-nozzle in vertical stripes.
  4. Space the adhesive appropriately for the material and application.
  5. Press the materials firmly together.
  6. Maintain a minimum adhesive thickness of approximately 2–3mm between the materials and substrate.
  7. Temporary support is usually unnecessary due to the high initial strength.
  8. Prime porous surfaces where required.
  9. Always test adhesion before completing the full installation.

Uncured Ritetack Xtra can be cleaned from tools using an appropriate cleaner. Once cured, the adhesive can only be removed mechanically.

Ritetack Xtra limitations

Ritetack Xtra delivers extra initial grab, but choosing the right adhesive for the substrate and environment still matters. It is not suitable for:

  • PE (polyethylene)
  • PP (polypropylene)
  • PC (polycarbonate)
  • PMMA (acrylic)
  • PTFE
  • Soft plastics
  • Neoprene
  • Bituminous substrates
  • Continuous exposure to water
  • Movement joints
  • Applications involving chlorides, including swimming pool environments

Always test adhesion and compatibility before full application. Material type, surface preparation, environmental exposure and installation method can all affect bond performance.

When Ritetack needs an Xtra 20%

For demanding panels, signage, natural stone and professional construction installs, Ritetack Xtra delivers 20% stronger initial tack than standard Ritetack while retaining the durable elasticity and multi-surface performance needed for long-term bonding.

More initial grab. More confidence from the start.

Our competition meets the mark at some things - we set the standard in all.
